Watch our founder, Leyla Acaroglu's TED Talk on using systems thinking and deisgn to see the hidden impacts of everyda things and bust through teh myths that limit treu change.

The future is sustainable, regenerative and circle. To facilitate pioneering organizational change towards understanding system wide impacts of producing goods and services, we teach applied systems thinking for the circular economy.

Systems thinking is one of the most powerful tools we have to understand and change the world. Organizations who employ a systems approach to sustainability instantly gain the deep understanding of the interconnectedness of decisions, avoid unintended consciousnesses and create significanlty more innovative bussiness outcomes.

The world is made up of complex interconnected systems that govern every element and aspect of our lives, from the air we breathe to the work we do. From the way we entertain ourselves to the cultural conditions that govern our happiness levels, we are constantly interacting with systems. But systems literacy is low; years of reductionist and siloed education have resulted in very linear thinking paradigms. In order to overcome this and develop the thinking tools that can lead to systems change and increase capabilities in a sustainable and circular economy, we need to quickly and effectively translate complex systems thinking into obtainable and actionable thinking processes.

Most people think in linear one-dimensional ways and this results in reductive and mechanical outcomes to complex and dynamic problems. The Circular Economy is all moving from the linear "take, make, waste" system of production, to a closed loop circular design.  This requires an understanding of the dynamic systems as play and the development of a holistic three-dimensional worldview. We design our programs and toolkits to foster the development of a circular systems perspective.

Our Intervention

We created the Circular Systems Design Activation Kit to help people starting out in circular systems thinking to understand the core concepts and develop a dialog that helps circularize business decisions and creative productions.

The activation kit draws on years of experience in facilitating sustainable design, life cycle thinking, circular economy activation and systems thinking.

At present the kit is a starter pack and we are in the process of developing deisgn industry specific kits for systems thinking intergration across the production industries.

If you are interested in discovering more about how the world works and building your own unique ways of helping to solve important problems, then you should take this.
