Our creative leadership workshops rapidly build divergent thinking skills that elevate an opportunity mindset. Our rantings are based on extensive research into the cognitive barriers to creativity, we build on the work of pioneers in creative leadership such as Edward de Bono and combine this with activated experience design to go well beyond design thinking.  We have helped many organizations and individuals embrace change through our unqiue Disruptive Design Method and provide rapid knowldge building workshops.

THE PROBLEM with innovation

We explored the limiting factors that people have when trying to build creative, explosive, boundary pushing ideas. It turns out one of the main inhibitors of “out of the box thinking” is a suite of shared cognitive biases that all humans have.

The human brain is riddled with them and more so, our brain likes to create well worn pathways of thinking patterns to be more energy efficient (the human brain uses 20% of the available energy in the human body). This creates ‘rutted’ thinking patterns which in turn leads to restrictive of reductive thinking. Without the right cognitive workaround tools, people often end up thinking the same way and this results in mid-layer iterative solutions, rather than truly innovative, unique and positively disruptive ones.

Our INTERVENTION

We created the ideation toolkit Designericse to help bust through everyday biases and allow people to build new neurological pathways to problems solving.

We tested the 20+ exercises with hundreds of people to create our set of facilitation tools that allow people to rapidly ideate around complex problems.

The exercises are fun, quick and creative. The facilitation around ideation and creative problem solving that we offer is high energy, engaging, and super productive.

The end result is a set of creative thinking tools, bias and thinking recognition and creative solution skills.

HOW our WORKShops work

SESSIONS

Using a combination of our developed Designercise activities and set problems from within your organisation, we can get even the most rigid and rutted thinker up, acting out, and sharing new ideas. We also offer executive and internal facilitator training to impart our expert facilitation knowledge, and share the secret trips and tricks to making change happen in real-time.

Short: Even a 45 min lunchtime creative jam session is enough to revitalise tired neurons and help get teams back on track with creative solutions.

Long: Half day sessions build on design thinking and the processes of developing ideas and creating positive outcomes to complex problems.


Practical Tools

We teach you how to bust through reductive thinking and build new neurological pathways for creative problem solving. 

Experience greater states of flow and develop new tools for creative ideation and expression. 

Learn how to facilitate better idea generation sessions for greater breadth and depth of creativity and collaboration in your teams. 

Once you have experienced our ideation training, you can start to use the Designercise tools yourself.

They are easy to access and provide excellent icebreakers, warm ups and creative session igniters for any team.
